This is Sam, our 11-year-old-or-so golden retriever. He's zonked out in his favorite napping spot, under my husband's legs between the chair and the footrest.
Isn't it funny the places they pick for their favorite spot? Max used to lay under the end table as a pup - now he's too big to fit, so he lays right alongside it. He has a dog bed in the living room, but no, he lays by the end table every time!
I've never had a dog yet who would sleep in a dog bed -- always the least convenient spot in the house. Sam is gorgeous -- just beautiful -- I mean handsome! He looks like a very loved family member.
Yes, he's one very spoiled puppy -- as all furkids should be! Last winter I bought him one of those big doggie cushions for the living room. He's always had one at the foot of our bed that he sleeps on at night. Well, I put the big, soft cushion in one of his usual flopping spots -- he sniffed it, and laid down next to it! He refuses to have anything to do with it.
